Tories name candidate

A FORMER Scottish Parliament candidate has been selected to campaign to become a councillor.

Jason Lingiah will be the Conservative candidate for the Craigentinny/Duddingston ward.

He was previously a candidate for the parliamentary constituency of Coatbridge and Chryston but came third behind Labour and the SNP, with a 5.7 per cent share of the vote. He is deputy chair of the south-west Conservative Association.
