THE future of tourism in Edinburgh is to be set out at a conference early next year.

The Edinburgh Tourism Action Group’s annual summit is expected to sell out when it takes place at the Pollock Hall on January 25.

Discussions about the Edinburgh 2020 initiative will identify areas that the Capital could improve upon, as well as current strengths to be emphasised to boost numbers coming into the city.

Robin Worsnop, ETAG’s chairman, said: “Edinburgh 2020 is an immensely important strategy, which aims to drive growth in real terms across all Edinburgh businesses that benefit from tourism.

“It won’t just impact on hotels and visitor attractions.”
