Track down sleuth series

A SERIES of lectures inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are set to be held at Edinburgh University to show that detective work is still essential for 21st century doctors.

Conan Doyle drew inspiration for Sherlock Holmes when he was a medical student at the university and based his character on Professor of Medicine Joseph Bell, who was known for his meticulous attention to detail.

The lectures start tomorrow and run until November 3.
