Traders handed market subsidy

Broxburn and Uphall Traders’ Association (Buta) has introduced a subsidy for local traders at the farmers’ market.

Any Buta member who takes a stall at the bi-monthly event, held in Broxburn, will have their stall fee paid for by the association as of next month.

Any non-member small trader who lives or operates within the local ward will be given a £25 contribution.

The subsidy will stay in place until the end of the year or until the market establishes itself.

The June market will be held on Saturday, June 9. To find out more, visit www.buta.org.uk
