Accidents on Queensferry Crossing and Edinburgh bypass causing delays for morning commuters

Two accidents are causing traffic to slow considerably in and around Edinburgh.

Commuters are being faced with delays and disruption due to two accidents on two major roads in and around Edinburgh.

One lane of the Edinburgh bypass was restricted between the Calder Junction and the Baberton Junction due to an accident involving a number of cars which happened just before 8am. This has now been clearned but delays of over an hour are being reported.

Traffic Scotland said that road users are advised to "approach with caution and expect longer journey times".

Traffic is also very slow going southbound from Junction 2 on the M90 approaching the Queensferry Crossing.

An accident is blocking lanes one and two with police en route to the scene.
