Its return to the tracks comes after a £4.2 million restoration.

Vic Michel, chairman of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, which operates Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway and the Museum of Scottish Railways, said: “We are all excited to welcome Flying Scotsman to our railway. It is an absolute privilege to be able to open our doors to the people of Scotland to meet the people’s locomotive.”
