POLICE are on the hunt for a road rage driver who threatened a woman after a heated argument.

The incident, which took place at the Philipstoun turnoff of the B9080 near Linlithgow at around 4.15pm on April 26, involved a blue Renault Clio and a silver Toyota Aygo.

The male driver of the blue Clio is alleged to have driven in an aggressive manner.

Both cars then pulled over and it is understood that the driver of the blue Clio threatened the female driver of the Toyota while her six-year-old child was in the car.

The male driver is described as white and in his early 20s, of slim build and around 5ft 8” in height. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black trousers and black trainers.

Police are keen to speak to the occupants of a large silver car, which had to drive around the two vehicles and witnessed the incident.

The silver car continued down towards Philipstoun, towards Bo’ness or to The Park Bistro on the canal.

Police Constable Andrew Murray said: “This incident left a female driver and her six year old child traumatised.

“We are eager to trace the large silver car that witnessed the incident. Anyone with information that can help us identify the offending party is asked to come forward immediately.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
