Police and ambulance called to collision on Lothian Road

Police and the ambulance service have been called to a collision on Lothian Road this afternoon.

The collision, involving just one vehicle, happened at about 1:30pm on the southbound section of the road between the Usher Hall and Western Approach Road.

A police spokesman confirmed officers are in attendance along with an ambulance.

But details of how the collision happened and any possible injuries are not known at this stage.

The council-run Edinburgh Travel News has urged motorists to approach with caution and said police are directing traffic.
