Transport Minister Humza Yousaf told Forth One that the work on the crossing was weather dependent.

He said: “It absolutely is weather dependent. The reason why we announced that we would be doing the work when we made the announcement on Monday was because the Met Office confirmed we have a weather window to do that work.”

He also urged drivers to be patient and appreciate that weather conditions could change and impact the work.
