Smoke visible for miles as firefighters attend Granton blaze

The fire on Granton Park Avenue was reported to be in an open outside area.
The emergency services were called at around 5.37pm.
An image taken by an eyewitness at Newhaven shows a tall plume of smoke rising from the area beyond Granton Harbour.
One fire appliance was sent to the incident.

Hide AdA Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were alerted to a fire out in the open on Granton Park Avenue at 17.37 on Wednesday 18 July.
“One appliance was sent to the scene.”
