The first incident occurred at around 9.50 am on the A720 westbound at Lasswade, with the accident partially blocking access to the carriageway causing a build up of traffic back to Sheriffhall.

Around 25 minutes later, a two-car collision happened in lane one of two on the A720 eastbound at Baberton. Traffic Scotland say queues are backed up to Hermiston Gait roundabout and police are on the scene to deal with the accident.
