A BUS firm which brings commuters from rural villages into the Capital is set to expand after landing a seven-figure funding package.

Borders-based Perryman’s Buses will begin new routes, create jobs and upgrade its fleet after winning £1.7 million from the Bank of Scotland.

Richard Perryman, director at Perryman’s Buses, said: “This significant investment in our services has given us the confidence and financial ability to develop the business and deliver a greater choice of regular bus routes to the local communities we serve.”
