AN elderly motorist was taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Willowbrae.
The 85-year-old man suffered injuries to his pelvis and ribs when his Ford Ka collided with a Vauxhall Astra in Piershill Terrace at around 9.10pm yesterday.
Police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Fire and rescue personnel were called to the scene of the accident and had to cut both drivers out of the wreckage.
A fire service spokesman said both were taken to hospital, but it is understood the female drive of the Astra was not seriously injured.
The road was closed for about two-and-a-half hours while the wreckage was cleared. Police said inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
