Flights between 28 March and 18 April 2021 went on sale today, including from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness airports.

The airline said passengers could also change current bookings to that period at no extra cost.

It has cut the cost of carrying baggage and sporting equipment to 99p until Friday.

The airline will be desperate to boost income with new bookings after grounding its entire fleet last month because of the Covid-19 crisis.

It has been handed a £600 million UK Government loan to be repaid next year.

Easyjet said all its flights were halted until at least 18 May – the earliest date for which bookings can be made.

It plans to resume flights at two weeks’ notice but said there was no certainty about when that would be.

In the meantime, it is cancelling flights on a rolling seven-day programme and informing passengers.

Bookings for Easyjet holidays up to October 2021 were opened earlier this month.

Easyjet chief commercial and planning officer Robert Carey said: “We know many people’s Easter holiday plans have been disrupted this year and so we’ve taken the decision to put our Easter flights for 2021 on sale early.

“Our customers can either book a new break or, if they are rearranging their travel plans, have even more dates and destinations to choose from.

“By booking early, customers will not only get the best value on hundreds of destinations across our network but can also book hold bags for just 99p, giving them something to look forward to next year.”

The airline said passengers could now change their flight dates to any time up to 21 February next year, including Easter.

It said the change fee waiver applied to both existing and new bookings until further notice.
