Edinburgh traffic: Slip road near Millerhill closed as firefighters tackle HGV blaze on A720

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the blaze on the Millerton junction of the A720 at 2pm today.

The slip road to Millerhill Eastbound is currently closed as a fire crew tackle the fire.

A spokesperson for the SFRS said: “Operations control immediately mobilised four appliances to the location and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are extinguishing the fire.

“Crews will remain at the scene until the area is made safe.”
