Iceland clear for take-off

AN airline is to run a new twice-weekly flight between Edinburgh and the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.

The first journey on the new Iceland Express airline route will take place on June 21.

Flights will cost from £89 one-way including all taxes, surcharges, check-in, seat allocation, a 20kg bag in the hold and 10kg hand luggage.

Iceland Express’ only current UK base is London Gatwick, with Edinburgh set to become the airline’s northern hub.
