An overnight closure is planned on the slip-road from M9 Junction 1A eastbound onto the M90 on the night of Saturday October 8, to allow for a routine inspection of the Humbie railway bridge.
The slip road will be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., with traffic diverted via the Newbridge roundabout and M9 Junction 1A westbound. Traffic on the M90 will be restricted to a single lane in both directions on and around the Humbie railway bridge.
Mark Arndt, Amey’s Operating Company Representative for the Forth Bridges Unit, said: “We’ve planned these works overnight in order to minimise disruption. The closure is not expected to cause any significant delays but motorists planning to use this route should allow a few minutes extra for their journey.”
