Traffic Scotland has issued a plea for drivers to keep clear of the closed section of the A1 after two lorries have been overturned.

The road has been closed by police due to high winds but Traffic Scotland reported that some drivers ignored the restrictions.

The A1 is closed to high-sided vehicles between the A720 at Old Craighall and the English border, and closed to all vehicles between Haddington and Thistly Cross.
