AN elderly woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car on Corstorphine Road.
She is described as having “minor injuries” after the incident at 8.20am this morning.
The road was closed between Balgreen Road and Western Corner, however it re-opened just after 9.30am.
A police spokesman said: “An elderly woman has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with minor injuries. Diversions were in place to allow emergency services access and the public are thanked for their patience and cooperation.”
