Trip to boost Scots culture

CULTURE Secretary Fiona Hyslop and Tourism Minister Fergus Ewing will fly to the USA and Canada next month as part of Scotland Week 2012.

They will attend a series of meetings and events promoting Scotland as a modern, creative and dynamic nation for business, tourism and culture.

Highlights include Scotland re:Designed, an innovative textiles exhibition in New York showcasing the best of Scottish design talent, and the ninth annual 10k Scotland Run — where thousands of runners and spectators will be treated to a festival of Scottish culture in New York’s Central Park.
