In tune for success at Mod

Rose McDonough, 11, a pupil at Tollcross School in Edinburgh, was delighted after winning the Glendale Quaich Gold Badge in the clarsach (juniors) competition at the Royal National Mod in Stornoway yesterday.

The youngster was one of several local winners, and Sean Mcpherson, 15, from Edinburgh, was thrilled to take home gold in the clarsach – intermediate 2 competition.
