TV show goes off with bang

FANS of a BBC TV show will be treated to an interactive event this weekend.

Bang LIVE, based on the programme Bang Goes The Theory, will be exploring how the human body works, along with the Society of Biology.

Visitors can take apart a giant model of the ear.

Dr Mark Downs, chief executive of the Society of Biology, said: “Over 15,000 sensory hair cells in your ear distinguish different sounds.”

The event takes place at the foot of the Mound from tomorrow until Sunday, with a twice daily stage show at the Usher Hall.
