Two held for OAP assault

TWO women have been arrested and charged in connection with an assault and robbery on an elderly woman.

An 83-year-old woman suffered a head injury during the incident, which took place in Kirk Loan in Corstorphine on Monday.

The women, aged 20 and 27, were set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

A 30-year-old man is also due in court today charged with the alleged possession of stolen property.
