TWO women were taken to hospital on Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle collision near Linlithgow.

Emergency services were called at 5.20pm to the smash near junction 3 of the M9 and the A803.

Both women suffered minor injuries and were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

A fire service spokesperson said: “Fire crews from Linlithgow and Bo’ness attended a two-car collision near Linlithgow.

“Both fire crews worked well under difficult conditions along with partner agencies to extricate two females from the vehicles.”
