Velodrome does rounds

THE world’s smallest velodrome is to be set up in the Capital next month.

Riders from across Europe are expected to pedal in to try the Red Bull Mini Drome at Edinburgh College of Art.

The event takes place on June 17, with only 200 places available. Entry is free, but a donation to the charity Wings is encouraged.

A spokesman for the event said: “The competition will only be enhanced by bringing it to such an individual and culturally important venue as the Edinburgh College of Art.”
