Vet takes the lead to show importance of pet charity

An Edinburgh vet has rolled up his sleeves to volunteer at a charity store.

Stuart McMorrow, senior vet at Edinburgh PDSA PetAid hospital, spent yesterday at the charity’s store in the High Street to promote the work the PDSA does in the area.

Stuart said: “It’s really important that our retail customers know where the money from their purchases goes. So I’m really excited to be meeting customers and telling them about the pets we treat.”

Stuart was also expected to have a hands-on role at the store, getting to grips with many of the volunteer roles such as preparing stock for sale, creating displays and serving customers too.

PDSA’s two Edinburgh stores, located at High Street and Nicolson Street, raise funds to help provide free veterinary treatment for sick and injured pets of people in need.
