Village set for a fruity fun day

A HARVEST celebration is being held in an East Lothian village this month including an apple-related recipe competition.

Inveresk’s Apple Day is being hosted in an orchard at Inveresk Lodge Gardens on October 16 and run by National Trust for Scotland rangers.

Intended as a family fun day, visitors can enjoy wildlife and an orchard walk while there will be games available for children.

The event runs from noon and costs adults £3.
