Wall change for show

A SEVEN-METRE stretch of wall which has stood in a Perthshire estate for almost 100 years is to be moved stone by stone to Edinburgh for just three days to be part of Gardening Scotland 2012.

The wall forms part of a paddock on the Lanrick Estate, but expert stone dyker Jason Hoffman is to dismantle it and rebuild it at the Royal Highland Centre as part of the Legacy show garden being built for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Exhibit creator Jayne Whitehead said: “Leaving even a small legacy to Macmillan Cancer Support can make a lasting contribution and this beautiful wall symbolises that message.”

The event runs from June 1 to 3.
