Watson in city to perform at charity lunch

Internationally renowned tenor Russell Watson was set to arrive in Scotland today to perform an exclusive set at Scotland’s most high profile ladies’ lunch – “Lunch with an Old Bag in aid of The Prince’s Trust” at Edinburgh’s Prestonfield House.

As an Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, the singer was delighted to accept the invitation, and the award-winning star, who has performed at some of the world’s biggest venues, will provide a fitting finale to the event.

The VIPs and guests, dubbed “Old Bags”, will get an exclusive preview of tracks from Watson’s new album, La Voce, recorded in Rome this June with the Roma Sinfonietta, Ennio Morricone’s orchestra of choice.

He said: “I’ve truly given my heart and soul to this record, and I can’t wait to meet and perform to all the Old Bags in Edinburgh – it’s such a fantastic charity!”
