Weather forces St Andrew’s Day celebrations indoors

WET and windy weather conditions have forced organisers to move today’s St Andrew’s Day celebrations indoors.

A host of special events were scheduled to take place on the main stage in St Andrew Square to mark the occasion.

But the outdoor stage has now been closed due to poor weather - leaving a handful of events cancelled or rescheduled.

Organisers said the Nativity Carol Concert will still take place at 3pm inside the Spiegeltent, with customers in possession of tickets for the Michty McNicols Scots Way-HAY!!! able to see the Nativity Carol Concert instead.

The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Ceilidh at 4.30pm is also cancelled, with ticket holders able to go to the ceilidh at 1pm.

Customers with ceilidh tickets can also see Liz Lochead at 6.30pm, Blazin’ Fiddles at 7.30pm and/or Dean Owens and the Whisky Hearts at 9.30pm in the Spiegeltent.

The Banana Sessions at 7.30pm is cancelled.
