The day ahead is set to be sunny, however the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning which is in place until 10am.
Yesterday a statement from the Met Office said: "An area of rain and hill snow will move eastwards across northern England, southern and central Scotland on Sunday night.

Although temperatures will be between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius throughout the day, the Met Office says it will feel as though it is between 0 and -2 degrees.
While the weather warning is in place there will likely be icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths and some roads and railways may be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
The cold weather is set to last in to the early hours of tomorrow, Tuesday 28 January, with sleet forecast from 2am.
