The Met Office has released an Red weather warning for high winds on Friday across the whole of the East Coast of Scotland.

They warn that: “flying debris is likely and could lead to injuries or danger to life.”

There is also likely to be traffic disruption and road closures.

BEAR Scotland has warned: “Road users to expect restrictions on high sided vehicles and a possible full closure of the #A1 later today when the strongest winds from #StormArwen arrive on the east coast of Scotland.”
