Today's forecast for Edinburgh is sunny and dry

Temperatures are expected to peak at about 15C today in Edinburgh.

The Met Office forecast says it will be dry and sunny for most of the day with some more patches of cloud emerging in the afternoon.

Tomorrow, temperatures should rise slightly to between 16C and 17C during the afternoon.

Wind speeds are set to pick up throughout the week, with more cloud and some rain showers forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Warm temperatures are expected to stay until mid September but there is expected to be more rain.
