West: Edinburgh International

Development of the west of the city is likely to be focused on the new Edinburgh International plans for the 240 acres of land between the airport and RBS headquarters.

The council intends to finalise a full business case for a new concert arena on part of the site by the middle of next year and hopes to have an operator appointed by early 2013.

A joint delivery agreement is then expected to be signed by the council and the other landowners – New Ingliston Limited, Murray Estates and Frogmore – for the wider plans for the Edinburgh International site in the next year.
