Witness appeal after boy flashes two teenage girls

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a boy riding a bicycle exposed himself to two teenage girls.

The incident took place while he cycled past the girls as they crossed Millhill, near Loretto School in Musselburgh, between 6.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday night.

Inquiries are ongoing, with CCTV coverage of the area being examined by officers in the hope of identifying the flasher.

The suspect is described as being white, 14-16 years old, thick build, around 5ft 6ins tall, blond/brown shoulder-length hair and was wearing a cycle helmet with a light blue hoodie, dark bottoms and white 

Detective Chief Inspector Kenny Gray said: “This has been a distressing experience for the girls, and Lothian and Borders Police will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, and who may recognise the description of the suspect to contact us on 0131-311 3131, or the charity Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.”
