A WOMAN was bundled to the ground in Gilmerton Road by an attacker who made off with her iPhone.
The 21-year-old had been talking on her mobile phone around 9.15pm on Thursday night and was targeted shortly after crossing the junction at Moredun Park Road.
She was knocked to the ground and as she got to her feet saw a man escaping through Moredun Park Road with her phone.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall with a skinny build and wearing all dark clothing and dark woollen gloves.
A police spokesman said: “The suspect has taken advantage of the victim being on her own while talking on her mobile. Thankfully she was uninjured, but was understandably shaken.”
