A PEDESTRIAN has been injured after being hit by a vehicle outside the Royal Commonwealth Pool.

An ambulance has been called to the scene to treat the unidentified woman, who suffered a minor injury in the incident.

Police closed one lane of Dalkeith Road for about 25 minutes after being called out to the site about 4.25pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the person involved had been a pedestrian, but was unable to confirm the vehicle involved.

Long traffic delays have been reported from Cameron Toll to the Pleasance as a result of the incident.
