Woman ‘lied’ over attack

A WOMAN has been charged with making a false police report following an alleged incident when a dog walker was attacked and robbed by a gang of youths.

The 38-year-old woman claimed to have been the victim of an attack in the Slateford Green area on Tuesday. She alleged the gang assaulted her before robbing her of cash and making off towards the Asda store at Chesser.

The woman is set to appear in court at a later date.
