Poppy Scotland are calling on the people of the Capital to join them at Murrayfield Stadium on Sunday to take part in a charity space hopper race, the first ever Big Poppy Bounce, supported by Heriot’s Rugby Club.

Gordon Michie, head of fund-raising at Poppy Scotland, says, “We are really excited for our first ever Big Poppy Bounce and thrilled to see Heriot’s show their support.

“We’d love to see as many people as possible at Murrayfield on the day. The event will be jam-packed with lots of family-fun activities, so come on, join us!”

The Big Poppy Bounce is one of the many fund-raising efforts for the charity beyond the traditional Poppy Appeal period in November.

Michie adds, “Events like these raise vital funds for the charity. All the money raised will go towards providing life-changing support to those in our Armed Forces.”

The event begins at 11.30am on Sunday, 19 August, and space hopper races suitable for all ages will take place throughout the day.

Alongside the space hopper races, families will be able to enjoy an inflatable obstacle course and bouncy castle, cheer-leading demonstrations, face painting and a selfie station.

All money raised will go to supporting life-changing work for those in the Armed Forces community who urgently need help.

Poppy Scotland reaches out to those who have served, those still serving, and their families.

At times of crisis and need, Poppy Scotland offer vital practical advice, assistance and funding.
