Youngsters get platform for their concerns

MIDLOTHIAN high school pupils are being invited to stand for election to the Midlothian Youth Platform (MYP).

Each secondary school will elect three representatives to the MYP for a two-year term. The youth platform is a group of young people which aims to be an effective, open, and inclusive collective voice for Midlothian’s young people.

Councillor Peter Boyes, Midlothian cabinet member for education and communities, said: “It’s important that young people speak up about the issues which matter to them.”
