Around 300 people are taking part in a “zombie walk” across the Capital.
Dressed in zombie outfits, people of all ages were expected to take part in today’s event, which was organised by 17-year-old Rebecca Hume from Portobello.
Money raised on the walk, which was set to leave The Mound at 2pm and end at the Scottish Parliament, will go towards the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. “Zombies” are asked to make a £2.50 donation to take part in the walk.
Maureen Harrison, chief executive of the charity, said: “The zombie march is a super, innovative fundraising idea. I’m delighted it is being held in Edinburgh.
“I hope lots of people come along and have fun.”
