Zoo protest to raise concerns

protesters are to gather at Edinburgh Zoo this Easter weekend to highlight their concerns for animals held in captivity.

The Captive Animals’ Protection Society (CAPS) is calling for a boycott of the zoo, which is gearing up for pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang potentially mating this week.

Peaceful protests will be taking place across the country outside other well-known zoos, with the Capital rally planned for Easter Monday.

Liz Tyson, director of CAPS, said: “We hope that the public will get involved in supporting our cause.”
