A MASSIVE plume of black smoke was seen over Edinburgh for a second day as a fire burned in Leith Docks.
The fire on the north side of the city started about 5.45pm on Tuesday.
Fire service said the incident was in the Forth Ports area and said they had received several calls alerting them to the blaze.
A spokesman for the Port of Leith said: “There was a small fire in an outside area of the Port of Leith this evening.
“The fire service attended and it was quickly extinguished.
“The cause of the fire is not known and will be investigated.
“There was no damage to any buildings or vehicles and no-one was injured.”
On Monday a black cloud was seen over the New Town after workmen accidentally set fire to the roof of a hotel.
