Delays following 2-car smash on M9 at Kirkliston

Police and emergency services have rushed to the scene at Junction 1a on the M9 following a road traffic accident.

The incident happened at 1.45pm today in the westbound carriageway at junction 1a near Kirkliston.

Police were called at 1:40pm following the incident which involved a Ford Focus.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to the M9 at around 1.45pm to reports of a collision between two vehicles.

“Officers are currently at the scene and the ambulance service have been called.”
