Commuters travelling through the Central Belt are facing delays this lunchtime due to a fault with the signalling system

The fault occurred between Edinburgh Park and Haymarket, resulting in a number of services from Edinburgh to Milngavie via Bathgate being affected.

As a result, passengers have been told to expect disruption until at least 2.30pm on Friday.

A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Our services from Edinburgh Park towards Edinburgh are being disrupted at present due to an earlier signalling issue, our trains are now on the move but cancellations, delays and alterations may still occur until we can get everything back to normal.”
