A 35-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man have been charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Thursday November 17.
They were arrested after a warrant was executed at a property in Dobson’s Place, Haddington.
During the search officers recovered heroin with a street value of £600 along with a quantity of diazepam and cannabis, cash and drugs paraphernalia.
They will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, Friday November 18.
Community Inspector Andrew Harborow said: “Tackling drug crime is one of our top priorities for East Lothian and we will continue to utilise all of Police Scotland’s resources to bring those responsible for these sort of offences to justice.
“Enforcement activity such as this can only be successful with the help of the public and I would urge anyone with information on drug offences in their area to come forward to police or contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
