A MAN needed hospital treatment after a fire at a Wester Hailes house yesterday.
About 15 firefighters were called to the mid-terraced home in Walkers Wynd shortly before 7pm.
Two men were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation with one transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “Three fire appliances were mobilised to the incident at Walkers Wynd and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
“Two male casualties were treated at the scene by the ambulance service for smoke inhalation.
“One casualty was subsequently transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
