The charity warned East Lothian Council’s error meant they would struggle to run the event this year.
Writing on Facebook yesterday, the charity wrote: “Sadly East Lothian Council have lost the keys for Musselburgh Town Hall and so we have no choice but to cancel this afternoons bazaar.
“We are so very sorry to those who were hoping to attend. And we feel so sad for all those who have put a lot of hard work into preparing for the bazaar.”
Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News a spokesperson for the charity confirmed that they were disappointed by the incident and that they would struggle to reschedule the event due to the time of year.
