Appeal to help trace man missing from Morningside

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace a man missing from the Morningside area of the city.

Colin Edmiston, 40, was last seen at around 3pm on Thursday, 26 July and has not been in contact with friends or family since.

He is described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with shaved dark hair. He has a fair complexion with some stubble and speaks with a Scottish accent.

Colin was last seen wearing grey joggers, a grey hooded jumper, a dark grey t-shirt and red training shoes.

He is known to frequent the Craiglockhart, Colinton and Merchiston areas of the city.

Sergeant Mark Barry of Howdenhall Police Station said: “We would appreciate any information from the public that can help us to trace Colin, as there are concerns for his welfare.

“Anyone who recognises his description, or who may have seen him since this time, is urged to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 2404 of 26th July.”
