Police have confirmed that there was no evidence of a gun being fired following reports of a ‘gunshot’ heard in the area on Monday August 20.

Officers attended the scene just before midnight following reports and carried out a search of the area.

Despite investigating, officers found no evidence that a gun was discharged.

A spokespoerson for the force said: “We thoroughly investigated the incident and there was no evidence of a gun being fired.”
